Have you ever felt trapped in a space that no longer feels like home? A place that drains you instead of restoring you? I know that feeling all too well.
A few years ago, life threw me into a storm I never saw coming. A traumatic event left me feeling lost, anxious, and disconnected—from myself, from others, and from the world around me. The weight of depression settled in, and even within the walls of my home, I felt anything but safe. My space reflected how I felt inside: dull, lifeless, and uninspiring.
But then, something shifted. I started seeking comfort in the simplest of things—the warmth of the sun on my skin, the rhythmic sound of leaves rustling in the wind, the grounding sensation of walking barefoot on the grass. Nature became my escape, my refuge, my healing force. And one day, I asked myself: What if I could bring that feeling inside?

I began introducing plants into my home—first a few, then many. I swapped dull, neutral tones for bold, vibrant colours that made me feel alive. I let natural light flood in (as much as you can get in the UK!), added textures that reminded me of the outdoors, and embraced organic shapes and patterns that felt comforting. Slowly but surely, my home transformed into more than just a space—it became a place that nurtured me, lifted my spirit, and brought me back to life.
One of the biggest turning points in my healing journey was when I drenched my bedroom in dark blue. I needed a cocooning space, somewhere to hide when everything around me felt like “too much.” The deep, enveloping shade made me feel safe—almost as if I were back in my mother’s womb. That dark blue bedroom became more than just a room; it was my safe space, a place where I could retreat, breathe, and reset. It even helped with my insomnia, wrapping me in the calm and stillness I so desperately needed.

This personal journey is deeply rooted in my upbringing. I grew up in southern Italy, in a region called Puglia, surrounded by nature’s beauty—the sun-drenched coastlines, the lush olive groves, and the scent of citrus trees in the air. From an early age, I felt an innate connection to nature, one that always brought me peace and a sense of belonging. That bond with the natural world stayed with me, even in my darkest moments, reminding me that nature has the power to heal and restore.
This realisation led me to specialise in Biophilic Interior Design—a powerful approach that reconnects people with nature through their living spaces. I discovered firsthand how bold colours, natural elements, and thoughtful design choices can impact mental well-being. And now, my mission is to help others create homes that don’t just look beautiful but actively support their happiness and health.
