Design Process

Initial Consultation

The first step when working with me is an initial consultation, which will take place in your home. We will discuss your project, budget and needs. This meeting is an opportunity to get to know each other better and to gather any additional information needed before I prepare a proposal for you.

Contract

After detailing the scope of work and budget, you will receive a contract or agreement for your project. Once this legal document is signed by both parties, we will begin the concept development phase.

cONCEPT pHASE

At the beginning of the concept phase, we will meet again to discuss your project in depth. If construction is involved, we will meet with trades and contractors to discuss the possibilities and prices etc. We will survey the space to take measurements and pictures, develop initial concepts from the design brief, create concept boards, and sketches to illustrate our initial ideas to you.

Design Phase

Upon approval of the design concept, I will present you with the reimagined space illustrated with drawings, images, fabric, and finished samples. Large projects may require several face to face meetings. If there are components that need revision, this is the time for me to source alternatives to ensure that you are completely happy with the proposed design.

Implementation

During this phase, once all finishes, fixtures and other items are approved, I will begin the ordering process and dealing with suppliers. I will work together with the contractor to ensure smooth execution of the design. In this way, I will alleviate the stress from out of the process and deal with any and all potential problems, allowing you to focus on enjoying life.

Finishing Touches

After implementation is completed, fixtures and furnishing are installed, I will source and bring accessories, artwork and finishing touches to your home to complete the transformation. And as with all clients, I would be highly appreciative you allow me a day to photograph your home for my portfolio.
